Brick for Android
What is the Android app?
The Brick Android app automatically backs up the photos and videos on your phone to Brick, so they show up in the Photos view in Brick HQ and on every other device connected to your account.
INFO
This app is currently in active development. iOS support is planned but not yet available.
How it works
- Sign in with the same Webbite account you use everywhere else, via a browser-based login — no separate password to manage.
- Automatic backup uploads new camera-roll photos and videos into a "Camera Uploads" folder, created the first time you sync. Only assets newer than the last sync run are uploaded, so re-opening the app doesn't re-upload everything.
- Sync now lets you trigger a backup on demand from the home screen, alongside a pause banner and a log of recent activity.
- Background sync keeps backing up new photos even when the app isn't open.
Settings
From the home screen's settings (gear icon), you can control:
- Wi-Fi only — skip syncing on mobile data to avoid using your data plan.
- Background sync — enable or disable automatic backup while the app isn't in the foreground.
- Account — switch which Webbite account is used for backup, if you belong to more than one.
Storage quota
The app checks your account's remaining storage before syncing, so backups pause automatically if your Brick account runs out of space rather than failing uploads partway through.
