Sharing
Overview
Any file or folder in Brick can be shared in two ways: with a public link anyone can open, or directly with another person's Webbite account. Both kinds of share can be set to view-only or can edit, and can optionally be given an expiry date after which the share stops working.
Public links
A public link works for anyone who has it — no Webbite account required. This is the quickest way to send someone a file or hand out a folder of assets. Sharing a folder shares everything inside it, including anything added to the folder later.
Sharing with a person
Sharing directly with another Webbite user grants them access tied to their account rather than to a link. This is a better fit for ongoing collaboration, since access can be reviewed or revoked per person from the file or folder's sharing settings at any time.
Permissions
- View-only — the recipient can open, preview and download, but not change anything.
- Can edit — the recipient can also upload new files, edit existing ones, and delete.
Access granted on a folder cascades to everything inside it, so you don't need to share each file individually.
